Maxchip Motor-Garantie
With the Maxchip engine warranty, you don’t need to worry about your engine and its components when you have a chip tuning from our company. With our tuning we do not exceed the available engine reserves, which makes a damage to the engine already extremely improbable. If in exceptional cases there should be damage, our engine warranty comes into force and you receive these replaced.
Engine warranties for each product
Regardless of which of our Maxchip products you choose, we offer an additional engine warranty for each one. The conditions vary slightly depending on the product. Below is a brief overview:
Maxchip Basic: One-year engine warranty up to 3.000 Euro
Maxchip Race: One-year engine warranty up to 5.000 Euro
Maxchip Ultra: Two-year engine warranty up to 10,000 Euro
Maxchip engine warranty also for
expired manufacturer's warranty
We can also offer our engine warranty for vehicles that are no longer covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Even if it expires in the next weeks or months, this will not have any negative effect on the warranty we issue. The requirements for our Maxchip engine warranty are 100% transparent.
Vehicles built in 2012 or later with a mileage of less than 200,000 kilometres meet the conditions for our warranty. Negative surprises are thus avoided, as they can determine by the clear requirements even before the purchase of one of our products, whether an engine warranty would apply to your vehicle.
The following applies to the three products: There is no surplus on the part of the customer.
A small example: You ordered a Maxchip Race from us and after 9 months there was a damage to the engine block caused by our product. Its replacement costs around 2,000 Euros. There are no costs for you as a customer and the engine warranty covers the full damage in the amount of 2,000 Euro. If the repair costs in this case amount to 5,080 Euros, for example, 5,000 Euros will be covered, the customer pays only 80 Euros.
What parts does the engine warranty cover?
Maxchip’s Engine Warranty covers all damage proven to have been caused by any of our products and which directly affects either the engine or any of its components.
The following engine parts are protected by the Engine Warranty:
Intake manifold
Drive shaft
All internal parts connected to the oil circuit
Gearbox (with the exception of the clutch and clutch parts)
Cardan shafts and cardan shaft bearings
Pistons
crankshaft housing, crankshaft wheel and crankshaft
Engine block
Valves and valve guide
Cylinder head
Bushings
Oil pan
Connecting rod
Turbocharger
DSG
Multitronic
Engine Warranty Exclusions
Please note that our engine warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear of engine components or damage not demonstrably caused by our products.
After expiration of the engine warranty for the product you purchased, the warranty will expire. An extension is not possible.
Vehicles that have more than 100,000 kilometres on the speedometer
Damages caused by an accident are also not covered by the engine warranty.
