Consumption reduction

THANKS TO MAXCHIP ECO-TUNING

With a chipbox from Maxchip, full throttle and low petrol or diesel consumption are no longer contradictory. Our chip tuning products are designed in such a way that they not only extract the maximum performance increase from your vehicle, but also enable a strong reduction in consumption thanks to Maxchip Eco-Tuning.

Up to 15% less fuel costs

for the same driving performance

The exact fuel consumption due to our chip tuning cannot be estimated 100% in advance. Because this depends on different factors such as your driving behavior before and after the tuning. If nothing changes in the driving behavior, consumption reductions of up to 15% could be achieved in our previous tests.

Example: If you drive around 31,000 kilometres with your Audi A6 3.0 TDI CR with 245 hp in the same driving style as before the tuning, you will save around 479 euros during this time with an assumed fuel price of 1.55 euros per litre. Thus it would cost our Maxchip Ultra NOTHING, since you save the costs for acquisition by the smaller fuel consumption again.

Consumption per 100km
Series 6,5 l/km
Maxchip 5,9 l/km

How it works

the reduction of consumption

The reason for the different fuel consumption for individual models and vehicles lies in the cubic capacity of the engine (the larger the cubic capacity, the higher the fuel consumption) and in the engine speed. The lower the engine speed is when you shift to the next gear, the lower the fuel consumption of your engine. Shifting to the next higher gear is therefore already possible at values between 1,500 and 2,000 rpm.

This is where we at Maxchip come into play:

Our Maxchip products were developed in such a way that they make a slight change in the relevant speed range. After a chip tuning the possibility is offered to shift into the higher gear already at an earlier speed. In order to achieve the maximum reduction in fuel consumption for your vehicle, our Maxchip software also optimizes the efficiency of the injection.

Depending on the model and driving behavior, up to 1.0 liters per 100 kilometers can be saved. Maximum driving pleasure and save money at the same time? With Maxchip no problem .

Further tips for reducing consumption

In addition to the installation of our chip tuning products, there are many other tips and tricks to help you save fuel and further maximize the reduction in fuel consumption for your vehicle. The following are a few tips that you can easily follow and implement when driving in everyday life:

Start motor as last step

Adjust seat belt, driver's seat and mirror. All this should be done BEFORE starting the engine to avoid unnecessary idling and fuel consumption.

Keep an eye on weight

The child seat, roof rack or suitcase from the last summer holiday that is no longer required should be sorted out of the car. Because more ballast also means more fuel consumption. For every 100 kilograms of extra weight, average fuel consumption increases by 0.5 litres per 100 kilometres.

Check tyre pressure regularly

You should have your tyre pressure checked at regular intervals. Low rolling resistance means lower fuel consumption. Attention: The tyre pressure should not exceed the values recommended in the instruction manual.

Motor off for longer idle times

Sometimes it is unavoidable to stand a little longer at a traffic light or at a level crossing. It is advisable to switch off the engine after a standstill of 15-20 seconds, as this will reduce fuel consumption compared to running the engine.

"Swimming" in traffic

Regular acceleration, abrupt acceleration and deceleration lead to a significant increase in petrol or diesel consumption. That's why it makes sense to "swim" with the traffic, especially in urban traffic, as this saves fuel.

Avoid downshifting

Immediately downshift, if the speed is slightly reduced, is not necessary. It is always best to make sure that the engine is accelerating and not jerking. The less you shift down, the greater the fuel savings.

Switch on electronic "gadgets" only when needed

Be it the air conditioning system or another electronic feature in the vehicle. Pay particular attention to when you use them. The additional use of air conditioning and the like can increase fuel consumption by up to 0.5 litres per 100 kilometres.

Selection of Engine oil

The choice of engine oil can also affect actual fuel consumption. If you want to actively save fuel, it is best to use low-viscosity oils. But: Not every engine oil is suitable for every vehicle, so it is best to read the instructions for use which would be most suitable.
